Patient Stories
Welcome to our Patient Stories Page…
By sharing our personal stories, we hope to gain valuable insight into coping with our disease and to assist others with the challenges they may encounter as they seek treatment.
Each person has made an individual decision as to how their name is presented, and how their story is constructed.
The stories presented here are descriptive, subjective, reflective and sometimes philosophical. They represent for each patient a unique way of coming to terms with their Cancer.
They are the patient voice and we are proud to present them here. Understandings gleaned by patients about diagnosis and treatment as a result of their experience do not necessarily represent best practices, according to consensus guidelines, on the part of the treating physician. They are simply part of each patient's known experience as Carcinoid Neuroendocrine patients.
In the words of Tim McGraw – "We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere."
