Dr Riad Salem is an Interventional Radiologist in the Department of Radiology at Northwestern University. He is Director of Interventional Oncology and a member of the Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. His areas of interest include the use of image-guided techniques for the treatment of malignancies. These include chemoembolization, bland embolization, radiofrequency, cryo and alcohol ablation, as well as radioembolization. He is a 1993 graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
He completed his radiology residency in Washington, DC. He has also completed a fellowship in interventional radiology (University of Pennsylvania), as well as a Master's in Business Administration (Finance). He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
He has lectured and published extensively on the subject of image-guided interventions.
