Carol-Anne Wilson
Carol-Anne Wilson was born and reared in Dublin, Ireland and came to live in Plano, Texas with her husband and five children in 1989. She attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, and the Sharman Crawford College of Art in Cork. She worked as a designer in Dublin and later as a Counselor for many years in Cork. After the move to Texas, she worked in the publishing industry as a graphic designer, eventually running her own business for many years.
Carol-Anne is an active and dedicated patient advocate, well known on both sides of the Atlantic, and has spoken at many meetings, both in the United States and in Europe. She had the honor of being invited to speak at the first ever European Patient Conference in Berlin in 2004.
Carol-Anne founded and facilitates the highly successful Carcinoid Cancer Texas Survivors support group which has been meeting on a monthly basis for six years now. She is recognized for designing the Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Pin with its distinctive zebra stripes, which is worn world-wide.
