Dr. Michael Sanatani is a medical oncologist at the London Regional Cancer Program in London, Ontario. After studying biochemistry in Tuebingen, Germany, he completed his medical training at the University of Western Ontario and his medical oncology residency at McMaster University. After a fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology and palliative care at the University of Western Ontario, he joined the staff at London Regional Cancer Program where his clinical focus includes gastrointestinal oncology and thoracic oncology. His research interests are supportive care, oncology rehabilitation, and quality of life. He is a member of the National Cancer Institute of Canada Symptom Control Group, as well as of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer. Dr. Sanatani has also been studying the cello since childhood and is currently a member of the London Community Orchestra.
