Dr. Ruszniewksi received his High diploma in directing research, University of Paris VII, December 1992, and became a Professor in clinical medicine (Hepatogastroenterology: Gastroenterology since 1st September 1994). Head of the department of gastroenterology in Beaujon Hospital since 1st September 1998. became a Hospital Consultant in September of 1994 at the time he became a University Professor in clinical medicine (Hepatogastroenterology: Gastroenterology). Since 1998, he has been Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at the Beaujon Hospital.

Dr. Ruszniewski is a member of several scientific societies including: the French National Society of Gastroenterology; the American Gastroenterological Association, and, the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) where he is Vice-President.

Since 1998, he has written 200 original papers and 190 abstracts and communications, primarily focused in the fields of digestive endocrine tumours and pancreatic diseases.
